Advocacy Toolbox - The Advocacy Toolbox was designed to help you navigate the advocacy and service systems for people with developmental disabilities. Helpful information can be found arranged by topic. Search for Advocacy/Service Providers – A searchable database allows users to look for resources by Service Type, Provider Type, Agency Name, Keyword and County. Documents/Resources – This section contains helpful information on a variety of topics from a wide array of sources. Testimonials – See how others have used the resources available through Illinois Life Span to successfully meet their needs.

Illinois Life Span Project Information - This section found in the gold box includes the following. Event Calendar – A comprehensive calendar for statewide and local events focused on disability-related issues are posted by request. Request Event Posting – If you would like to have an Event posted to our site, please complete the brief form and submit. Photo Album – A collection of photos from events sponsored by The Arc of Illinois or events in which Illinois Life Span staff have participated. About the Illinois Life Span Project – Learn more about the Illinois Life Span Project. Contact the Director – An e-mail link connects website users to the Director of the Illinois Life Span Project.

The Registered Users Only section in the red box contains the interactive features of our site. To participate in the interactive sections, users must register. No information submitted by registered users will be shared at any time. Login – Users who have already registered click here to enter “Registered Users Only” sections. They will be asked to enter their username and password. Profile – Registered user’s information can be updated here. Surveys – This section contains current surveys gathering information important to Illinois Life Span or other organizations as appropriate. Videos – Vignettes of trainings, seminars and other important information may be available here. These videos will stream using Windows Media Player. Users may download the videos to view them if they don’t have a high-speed internet connection. Classified Ads – Registered users may post and respond to classified ads. Forums – Users can post information, respond to information, or request assistance on a wide range of topics. Please read the forum posting guidelines before using this feature. Online Chat – This feature can be used to share information interactively at pre-arranged times.
