Advocacy Support Groups
Support groups are
created when people get together to network and share ideas about how to make
life better for themselves or loved ones who have a disability. Some support
groups are formed based on a common issue or goal. Other groups develop around a
specific disability, like Down syndrome or Autism. There are also groups that serve siblings
or self-advocates.
