Family Community Resource Centers
Illinois uses a mix of federal and state
programs to support people with developmental disabilities. These funding
sources provide the core financial support for basic physical needs. Social
Security is provided to eligible recipients for living expenses. Health care for
adults with developmental disabilities comes in the form of Medicaid and/or
Medicare. Family Community Resource Centers provide the link to many of these
