Early Childhood Special Education
Early Childhood Special Education serves children ages three to five who have
developmental delays or disabilities. These programs are part of the special
education continuum operated by the public schools of Illinois. Children who
received services through Early Intervention are transitioned into Early
Childhood Special Education as long as they remain eligible. If you have
concerns regarding your childs development, you may call your local school
district to discuss your concerns and ask for an evaluation to determine
