Independent Evaluation
If a parent is not satisfied with the school's evaluation of student needs, they have the right to
request an independent evaluation at the school's expense. The school district may agree to pay for
this second evaluation or they may disagree and tell parents that a second evaluation will occur
only if the parents are willing to pay. Before the second evaluation, both parties should agree in
writing regarding who will pay. |
