Work Experience
Work experience is
an important factor in good transition planning. Students who work while going
to school and pay into Social Security for 6 quarters are eligible to earn more
money from Social Security when they are out of school, than had they not
worked. To find out more about this and other work/disability issues visit the
Health & Disability Advocates website at www.hdadvocates.org. You may also want to connect with a Benefits
Specialist to determine how work will impact SSI and SSDI benefits.
