Intended Audience: Mothers of children with special needs.
This retreat is designed for moms of children with disabilities. Relax and rejuvenate with other moms who share common experiences raising children with special needs. There will be opportunities to get information, network, relax, enjoy activities, and simply have some peace and quiet on your own. All meals and overnight accommodations for only $50 per person. The Retreat begins Saturday, January 19th at 9:00am and concludes January 20th at 11:30am. As mothers of children with special needs, how we use and replenish our personal energy matters–a lot! A presentation by Lisa Kinderman from 1:00-3:00pm on Saturday will help us learn to identify our personal energy needs, take a look at how our values inform our ability to focus and prioritize, and learn how to implement new healthy living habits.
REGISTRATION: To register for this training, please register online (http://starnet.org/home/events/moms-retreat/) and then send a check for $50 payable to “Villa Maria” to Starnet I & III, WIU Horrabin Hall 32, Macomb, IL 61455. Registration is limited. Registration will not be complete until payment is received. In the “special accommodations” section of the online registration form, please list the age of your child(ren) with disabilities, their diagnosis, and any special accommodations you might need for the retreat (allergies, adaptations, etc.). You can also list a roommate request in this section, if you know someone else attending and would like to room with them.
