The Arc of Illinois Family Lunchtime Webinar Series – The Positive Impacts of Working while Receiving Public Benefits

The first step in Customized Employment involves DPG^TM.  This includes identifying the public benefits attached to the individual.  Once this information is gathered, it is extremely important to address the impact of earned income on those benefits.  This session will touch on some of the most likely used, but little known, work incentives of the Social Security Administration and Medicaid!

Featuring Marsie Frawley from Griffin-Hammis Associates.  Marsie Frawley has been a Senior Consultant at Griffin-Hammis Associates since 2011.  Marsie has vast experience in Employment First policy and implementation in Illinois, with expertise in the Social Security Administration work incentives.  She is the author of the “Ready for Business Guide:  Self Employment for People with Disabilities.”  In 2011, she was named the recipient of the Social Security Administration’s Region V Skip Kruse Memorial Return to Work Award.
